Speed Sipping: A Women's Financial Empowerment Campaign

The Speed Sipping campaign was a women’s financial empowerment event series designed to close the gender financial literacy gap by connecting women with local certified financial advisors, business leaders, and entrepreneurs. The campaign was rooted in a clear insight: despite high rates of women-owned enterprises in the Bay Area, women continued to receive mixed messages about financial planning, life insurance, and long-term wealth building. Speed Sipping was designed to meet them where they were with accessible, community-driven programming.
Securing Major Sponsors

End-to-end event planning and execution included securing eight sponsors: LegalZoom, MML Investor Services, Snowball Wealth, SF Money Coach, Nayo Partners, Girls Just Gotta Have Funds, Eat Makhana, and Lettuce Grow. Speaker recruitment and relationship management brought together founders, certified financial planners, and wealth advisors who led intimate breakout sessions on student debt, budgeting, retirement planning, and scaling a self-funded business. Logistics included venue coordination, vendor management, volunteer scheduling, and day-of production across a multi-session format that drew 150+ attendees.
Content And Strategic Communications
The campaign’s content and communications strategy framed financial literacy as a community issue and positioned Ethos as a brand that understood women’s evolving role in the economy. Pre-event outreach spanned email, social media, and community partnerships, building awareness and driving registration across the Bay Area.
